• Currently serving in United States Honor Guard

• Participated in 2017 Presidential Inauguration

• Earned GED while attending Wil Lou Gray

Anthony Chad Owens - Conway, SC

October 5, 1984 - February 1, 2006

• Enlisted in US Army and served in Iraq

• Awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart

• Killed in small arms fire battle in Baghdad





Thomas Porter - Lexington, SC

• Served 12 years in US Marines

• Recently purchased first home

• Currently writing a book

• Donated an Iraqi battle flag to WLGOS






Sheriff Giles Daniel - Greenwood County, SC

• Enlisted with US Navy during World War II

• Served on USS Hornet

• 40-year career in law enforcement

• Greenwood County Sheriff for 24 years

• FBI Academy graduate

• President of the SC Law Enforcement Officers Association

• 1980 Sheriff of the Year recipient



Jedidiah Mayrant - Sumter, SC

• Graduated from WLGOS in October 2012

• Training to be a county officer with the State of Maryland








Shay Thompson - Walterboro, SC

• Employed with W. W. Grainger, Inc. in Space Management, Logistics






Joshua Perella - Taylors, SC

• USC Graduate, BS in Business Management

• Served as US Marine with 3 years in Iraq guarding US Embassies in Rome, West Africa and Armenia

• Employed with US Dept. of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security

• Served 2 1/2 years in Kabul as personal body guard for the US Ambassador to Afghanistan

• Board Certified in Vascular and General Surgery

• Opened LMC Endovascular Surgery Program
